Before After

The Story of how Volt Fitness began is best told by its founders, long-time friends and business partners Tom Ardese and Joseph Rogovich....

This is the crazy story of Volt Fitness...

Joe went to high school (BC) and then college (University of Scranton) with Tom. Funny thing is, they weren't really friends in high school. But when they got to college, Joe had a car and that changed everything! Once Tom (well, actually Tom's dad) considered the benefits of not having to drive back and forth between home and college for the next 4 years, he and Joe became friends immediately, if not faster, and remained close through graduation.

Fast forward 15 years...

One day Joe approached Tom for some guidance. You see, Joe was 100 lbs. overweight (actually 105 lbs., but who's counting?) and Tom was a personal trainer with lots of experience. With Tom's help, Joe proceeded to lose 100 lbs.

But in reality, Joe helped himself. He showed guts, passion and work ethic. After his successful weight loss, Joe became a personal trainer himself. Why? Because he wanted to help other people the same way his pal Tom had helped had helped him. They decided to turn their passion into a business.

Volt Fitness opened its doors in December of 2007... just in time for the worst financial collapse in history. Was there panic? Heck yeah, there was.
